You can also delete your account and all associated data in the app under Settings.
Account & Subscription
How do I cancel my subscription?
ReadBy subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. To cancel:
- Open Settings on your iPhone
- Tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions
- Find ReadBy and tap Cancel Subscription
You'll keep access until the end of your current billing period.
How do I restore my purchases on a new device?
- On the new iPhone, sign in to ReadBy with the same Apple ID that bought the plan, and the same ReadBy account you used when you bought it.
- Open the upgrade screen: in Settings, tap Upgrade on your plan card, or tap Upgrade on any screen that says you've reached a limit.
- Tap Already have a paid plan with ReadBy? ReadBy checks with Apple and restores your plan.
If ReadBy can't find your plan, email support@readby.app.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings in the app and tap Delete My Account & Information. This will permanently delete your account, all saved stories, and any voice data. This action cannot be undone.
You can also email support@readby.app to request account deletion.

Yes. ReadBy is designed with children's safety as a top priority:

Stories & Features
How long does it take to generate a story?
You can start hearing your story within seconds of choosing a narrator: the first page plays as soon as it's narrated, while the rest of the story is narrated behind it.
Can I save stories to read offline?
Yes, for reading. Open My Stories while you're online, and your saved stories will be ready to read with no internet. Classic and World Tales are ready to read offline once you've opened them. Offline listening is coming soon.
What ages is ReadBy designed for?
Stories are automatically calibrated to your child's age:
- Ages 2-5: shorter stories, simpler vocabulary
- Ages 6-8: medium stories, richer plots
- Ages 9 to 99+: larger, longer stories, more complex narratives
Gifting and Top-Ups COMINGSOON!
How does gifting work?
Gifting is coming soon. You'll soon be able to gift stories narrated in your voice: record a voice sample, pick stories, add a personal message, and send them to a family member. They'll download ReadBy and enter the gift code to unlock their stories, read aloud in your voice.
Can I gift ReadBy to someone without an iPhone?
Gifting is coming soon. ReadBy is currently available on iPhone only, so when gifting arrives, the person you send a gift to will need an iPhone to redeem it. iPad and Android support are planned for the future.
Can I buy more stories, heroes or voices?
Top-ups are coming soon. You'll soon be able to buy extra stories, heroes and voices in the app.
